Tradition with a twist! Charleston elegance at its finest. One of my designs in this historical city.

Anyone up for a day trip to Charleston on April 18th? We’ll do lunch, shopping, a little sightseeing and swing by the Charleston Symphony Orchestra’s 36th Annual Designer Showcase to hear me present on the “Secrets of Southern Design”?  Charleston is the quintessential place for getting a soul-full of Southern Design (and the most inspiring city below the mason dixon!).  I could get lost in the French Quarter, set up shop on Rainbow Row, but the point of no return is shopping on King Street!

During my talk , I will give insights and tips for southern style interiors, how to choose color palettes for rooms, walls and fabrics; infusing traditional styling with modern conveniences, and creating space with livable luxury for entertaining friends and family.  It is one of the first of many speaking engagements I will present on the Secrets of Southern Design, which is also the title of my upcoming book!

For full details on the event visit the 2013 Symphony Designer Showhouse.

Sophisticated class is the only way to go in Charleston! This bedroom is most definitely Fabulously Southern! Design: Knotting Hill Interiors

It has been such a treat to see this event being picked up by several publications in the Charleston area!  I guess they are ready for this Knotting Hill girl to come on down and learn about simple yet elegant (and definitely southern!) interior design and lifestyle ideas that easily be applied in their own home.
