As many of you may have read earlier in the week, my youngest son (10 years old) earned the right to participate in a golf tournament in Scotland this week! In honor of him – and our trip to Scotland – I saved this castle hotel to show you! What do you think? Would you love to stay at Castle Stuart?
Take a look at this charming video from the owners of this romantic, old castle and its 5-star accommodations….

The once flourishing 17th century castle was completed in 1625 by James Stuart, 3rd Earl of Moray, but eventually fell into ruins until another Stuart family rescued it from its despair! The castle has the most fascinating HISTORY (click the link to read all about it).

Castle Stuart boasts eight bedrooms, and each is decorated with the tartans of the individual clans who fought for “Bonnie Prince Charlie” at Culloden.

Perhaps some of the most intriguing aspects of Castle Stuart are its “ghostly” spirits. There is even a book written about  three-turret haunted bedroom at the top of the East Tower….
