This week’s blog posts have been all about traversing to cozy spaces found in luxury interior design. Attic rooms and window seats certainly fit that description, but perhaps my favorite -and one of the coziest of all interior design choices! – is the fabric-draped bed! There is just something opulent, yet warm-fuzzy, about beds covered with fabric. They provide that same “cocoon” type of feeling as snuggling under a down comforter on a crisp winter morning. Through the years, I have designed many bed draperies and canopies for my interior design clients at Knotting Hill Interiors…. And I never remember being disappointed a single time in making the choice to go that extra mile. Somehow, adding a fabric-draped bed always seems to contribute that super-fabulous, custom design component that gives the space an amazing zing!
There are many different styles and modifications that may be applied to the creation of fabric-covered beds. Some of the choices are simple and only require adding ready-made fabric panels to beds with upper rails, whereas some canopied beds are completely custom-designed. Take a look at some examples of fabulous fabric-draped beds that truly take you want to EXHALE…. and hit that snooze button just one more time…..

Ohhhh.... the clean, white walls and bedding contrasting against the dark wood give this traditional space a tropical accent.
