  • I couldn’t take up my eyes. I couldn’t even able to compare to say which of the above decor is the best. Each style is unique in its own way. But still i would say i love the fist and last interior style a lot. Great work!! Thanks for sharing!!!

  • Kimberly, we must have been separated at birth! I, too, used to “build ” my own doll houses out of shoe boxes. I would paper the walls, “build” the furniture from unusual objects found around the house & things one would normally discard. I would spend hours doing this and, thinking back, the results wern’t half bad. My Mom let me decorate my own room as a teen. Today, I still love interior design/decorating. I really should have pursued this as a career path, but am so very glad that you did! I can tell that you absolutely enjoy what you do.

      Karen,
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful story! Do you live in Myrtle Beach? I would love to give you a tour of Knotting Hill Interiors – my own personal “playhouse” for “dream house” creators! xox ~Kimberly

  • OMG! I used to build houses out of shoe boxes and cut photos out of the sears catalogs of windows with curtains or artwork and glue them on the sides. Even made two story houses and created stairs out of cardboard. I always tell that story when people ask me why I became a designer. It is nice to hear of someone else who began “decorating” at a very young age. Just proves that people really should determine and then follow a passion! thanks for the memories

  • Hi, Kimberly! Thank you for the generous invitation to tour Knotting Hill Interiors. I live in Memphis. But if I am ever in the Myrtle Beach area and you’re available, I would love to take the tour.
