Oh Kimberly, I don’t even know where to start ! They need to change her middle name to “Lucky”. The hand painted fabric is FABULOUS, the bedding, the bedside table is so unique. I want that leopard carpet in my playroom, well my workroom ! You are so talented, I’m sure she loves it.
Tammy, you are soooo wonderful! Thank you for the complients! I am in love with this room, too, and I agree with you that this precious little girl could be renamed “Lucky”. HA! (You are too funny!) Her room is one of my favorite children’s spaces that I have designed. It was sooooo much fun! I loved being able to have free reign to truly customize every detail to her taste. She was a fabulous little client!
Kim,
I love the painted secretary! Are there businesses that specialize in repainting furniture? Is it rolled/spray painted? Just wondering in case I happen upon such a wonderful piece.
p.s. love your beautiful room designs & your down to earth blog-thanks so much!

Most designers have a painter that they rely on. In cases like these, I just have “my painter” paint an item. He typically sprays a furniture piece after priming it. Occasionally, my “faux finisher” will add touches, as well. This piece was primed and sprayed with a professional paint sprayer. I am so glad you love it. I do, too. This technique breathes life into things that are old. Good luck with your project!
