As I mentioned in yesterday’s blog, I absolutely have “the blues” right now! In fact, several of my recent interior design projects – involving the fabulous color BLUE! – have spawned several additions to my go-to list of colors. Some of those include:
In the blue-gray family, I love Benjamin Moore HC146 Wedgewood Gray…. Lovely on ceilings and in bedrooms!

This photo shows a kitchen pictured in House Beautiful, which is painted Woodlawn Blue HC-147, a lighter version of Wedgewood Gray.
In the blue-green family, I love Benjamin Moore HC-149 Buxton Blue ….. A great all- around shade that is perfectly suited for a family room or beach house.

Photo of a room in Buxton Blue from Bossy Color Blog. (The picture does not reflect the true beauty of this blue! It is very hard to capture in a photo!)
And, for a deep, dark blue how about Benjamin Moore 2064-20 Patriot Blue (Remember the American flag official colors from Monday’s blog post?!)?! I love the intensity of this color….. A smashing choice for a library or man’s study!

Although I am not certain what the name of this blue is, it somewhat reminds me of Benjamin Moore's Patriot Blue, although definitely not exact. Textiles in photo from Fiona Douglas.

Hey Kim! I’m laughing right now (and very flattered) because I am getting ready to paint family room with “buxton blue” by Benjamin Moore. My faux finisher is also using the same color as the base coat for our dining room…she’s bringing me a sample today of the faux finish treatment that she has designed. I can’t wait to see it! We are mixing it with a Thibaut fabric that has a rich, chocolate brown background and other dramatic colors on the pattern. Our kitchen cabinets are going in as I write this. A little loud in the house today…but it is all coming together! We are going to post some “progressing along” pictures soon on facebook. We’ve never done a remodeling project like this before…I’ve learned soooo much! The hardest part was making all the decisions! I soooo could have used your help! Looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks! Take care! Amy
