T.G.I.F. “Thank Goodness It’s So Fabulous!

THIS FABULOUS FRIDAY I HAVE FOUND…

“It’s So Fabulous!” Event of the Week: American Idol!  I still love this show after all these years.  During the year that Fantasia won (I believe that was year 3 or 4), my sweet husband gave me the most FABULOUS gift for our anniversary… FRONT ROW tickets to the travelling tour held in Columbia, SC.!  Let me just tell you, that was better than a 5 karat canary diamond for me.  My daughter and I stood on both of our chairs in the front row, as well as, the tall speakers! We sang like banshees at the tops of our lungs (while my husband hid under his seat… but who cares, maybe he had an ear infection or something?!).  It was unbelievable!  This season has not disappointed, and while I have not yet personally settled on a fabulous favorite, I am still fabulously head over heels with the show (and my sweet husband!).  Do any of you have a personal fabulous favorite this season????

Oh, and furthermore, the most fabulous event of the week also encompassed, drum roll please…  the judges saving Michael Lynch with their ONE save of the season.  I love this guy!!!!!!!! YAY!

“It’s So Fabulous!” Family Moment of the Week: My youngest daughter, Grayanna, who is eleven, is about to complete her 18th and final performance in the Theatre of the Republic’s “Cinderella”.   Based on the original Roger’s and Hammerstein’s version, it was both nostalgic and lovely. This was Grayanna’s debut performance, and not only was she happy in her roles, she was also a natural.  It was exhilarating as a parent, and I am beaming with pride!  In addition, I have really enjoyed getting to know this theatre.  While I have supported it for many years and have attended most of its performances, I have a new appreciation for their dedication to hard work, the talent, and the ambition.  I cannot wait for the upcoming “Producers” and a continued involvement in this portion of our local arts.

“It’s So Fabulous!” Accessory of the Week: Spanx for men!  Hahaha! There IS justice in the world! I have ever so enjoyed my Spanx – well, not really but I love love, love the way I look in them, so who cares …I can take it! Now, men will have to take it, too.  Girls, rush out and get that man in your life the Spanx he so deserves!

Mens Spanx!

“It’s So Fabulous!” Book of the Week: “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett.  I have only just begun reading it, but I must say this is a novel to devour.  It was highly recommended to me by several people, and I have bitten that bullet.  This book is a must read and cannot be put down.  Enjoy!

“It’s So Fabulous!” Place of the Week: I just vacationed in Park City, Utah, where we own a timeshare at the Marriott Mountainside.  With seven jacuzzis and a true ski in/ski out (not kidding, really a great ski in/ski out facility!), and the best darn kids programs and activities this side of a Disney Cruise, this place is FABULOUS!

“It’s So Fabulous!” DESIGN ELEMENT of the Week: Yellow with Grey. Very sophisticated and definitely easy on the eye.  I love this unusual mix of color.  Grey is a great new neutral .   Don’t discount it, as it does all the things black, navy or brown can do. It just happens to be hot right now!  There are many shades, and while I don’t prefer the ones that are drab, I do love working with the peppier shades that can be both dramatic and invigorating.

This room is a "wild" example of a yellow and gray room from Domino Magazine.

Now, go have an “It’s So Fabulous!” day!

It’s not too late to jump in on American Idol…. NEVER too late! haha. The last shows are always the best, anyway. And you are right, Spanx for men does seem quite “just”, doesn’t it? Have a FABULOUS day, and thanks for commenting! :)

How great for Grayanna. You know my son is a Theatre Arts major..he is on the show ‘Good Eats’ on the Food Network quite often and now he is into filmmaking as a second career.. He is so happy with his work.
Roger sure is thoughtful…knowing what you would like…How Sweet.
As for American Idol, I agree, the guy last week was by far the best to me..but not the best looking..we all know who he is…
    Love the yellow gray room…..
And as for my husband, Gene..I don’t think he would wear the Spanx….but secretly…wish he would…LOL

Sounds like your son has some great talent! I love the Food Network! What is his name? I will keep my eyes peeled for him when I am watching it.

Let me know if you convince your hubby to wear the Spanx! haha. I don’t know that Roger would wear them either. We shall see… :) And yes, I do think he is pretty FABULOUS!

Thanks so much for reading and commenting!
